First published in 1942, The Famous Five books are one of Enid Blyton's most popular books. It follows 4 children, Julian, Dick, Anne and Georgina and her dog Timmy as they get caught up in many different adventures. This collection is a must read for any adventure lover!!!
The Secret Seven
The first book in The Secret Seven collection was published in 1949 and is about seven friends, Peter, Janet, Jack, Colin, George, Pam and Barbara, who form a secret society and help solve mysteries in their local community, such as burglaries and missing pets. It is definitely an exciting read and you never know... it might inspire you to form your own secret society!!!
The Magic Faraway Tree Collection
Voted the Uk's favourite book in 2003, The Magic Faraway Tree books are arguably one of Enid Blyton's most popular books. Jo, Bessie and Fanny live beside the Enchanted Wood. Whilst exploring they come across the Faraway Tree and meet all of the magical fairy-folk who live there, such as Moon-face and the Saucepan Man. At the top of the tree are many magical lands that constantly change that are just too tempting for the children to explore... what could possibly go wrong???
The Naughtiest Girl in the school
Elizabeth Allen is angry when her parents send her away to boarding school so she comes up with a plan to be rude and break the rules so that she will get expelled by half-term. But it is the rest of the children in the school who deal with the naughty children and not the teachers. These books are such a fun read for anyone with that naughty streak inside them!!!
Noddy
For a lot of children Noddy was their first experience of Enid Blyton's works. Even now Noddy is still seen as one of the main characters associated with Enid Blyton. After the first book was released in 1949 Noddy became so popular that you could buy Noddy soap, jigsaw puzzles and pyjamas and eventually Noddy became a TV show that can still be watched today and enjoyed by both children and their parents.
